Another newly constructed stormwater infrastructure project in California's Central Valley utilized HP Storm pipe.

PRODUCTS USED

HP Storm, manufactured from polypropylene, is being used widely in the Central Valley under the right-of-way.

RT Nelson Construction installed HP Storm in lieu of reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), which was originally scheduled for the project. HP Storm was selected as it provides significant cost savings and since it is manufactured in Madera, CA allows for installation and schedule time savings as well.

Over 3,300' of the installed pipe was large diameter including 2,100' of 48" and 1,200' of 30".

HP Storm polypropylene pipe provides a greater pipe stiffness for a longer service life and a premium joint performance. The smooth interior wall offers additional strength as well as superior flow. Polypropylene is resistant to the effects of chemicals, abrasion and effluent.
