The drawing gives information on an Inserta Tee® connection for IPS/SCH 40 solvent weld bell gravity applications.

An Inserta Tee connection is made of a PVC hub adapter, a rubber gasket and a stainless steel securing clamp. The bell end of the Inserta Tee accepts IPS/SCH 40 or equivalent outside diameters in 4”, 6” and 8” (100, 150, 200 mm) sizes. The spigot is PVC SDR 35, ASTM D3034 in diameters 4”, 6” and 8” (100, 150, 200 mm).

Other information shows the hole diameter that must be cored into the mainline based on the Inserta Tee’s size. The recommended method of cutting the hole is with a holes saw for PVC and other plastics and a diamond bit for concretes, clay, FRP and D.I. Hole saw are available for purchase or rent.
