The drawing gives information on an Inserta Tee® corrugated bell for gravity applications.
An Inserta Tee connection is made of a PVC hub adapter, a rubber gasket and a stainless steel securing clamp. The bell end of the Inserta Tee accepts corrugated polyethylene and PVC. Corrugated pipe or equivalent outside diameter specifications in 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 15”, 18”, 21”, 24”, 27” and 30” (100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 375, 450, 525, 600, 675 and 750 mm) sizes.
The spigot end connects to PVC SDR 35 and ASTM D3034 pipe in 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 15”, 18”, 21”, 24”, 27” and 30” (100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 375, 450, 525, 600, 675 and 750 mm) sizes. The curvature of the Inserta Tee connector varies based on the mainline pipe diameter.
Other information shows the hole diameter that must be cored into the mainline based on the Inserta Tee’s size. The recommended method of cutting the hole is with a hole saw for PVC and other plastics and a diamond bit for concretes, clay, FRP and D.I. Hole saw are available for purchase or rent.
