N-12 WT IB (per ASTM F2648) Product Sheet

The N-12® WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) incorporates patented technology to provide a superior watertight joint for drainage applications. An exterior bell wrap provides a visual indicator that a watertight joint is being used for the pipe. A patented gasket increases its sealing forces as hydrostatic pressure occurs.

Applications for the N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) pipe include storm sewers, retention/detention systems, culverts & cross drains, ditch enclosures, slope & edge drains, and for mining/forestry/industrial industries.

The N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) pipe features diameters from 4”-60” (150-1500mm), integral bell and factory-installed gasket, fast to install and its structural strength will support H-25 live loads with 12” (300mm) minimum cover.

The benefits of N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) pipe are that it comes in a variety of diameters and lengths to fit any project, the pipe comes with factory-installed gaskets and built-in bell which allow for efficient installation, hydraulic efficiency from the smooth interior and installation savings from lower shipping costs.

This document includes additional specifications about the N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648), including the N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) requirements, field pipe & joint performance, fittings, N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648) material properties and installation.

For complete installation guidelines for the N-12 WT IB Pipe (per ASTM F2648), follow ASTM D321 and ADS’ published installation guidelines. Minimum cover in trafficked areas for 4”-48” (100-1200mm) diameters shall be one foot (0.3 m) and for 60” (1500mm) diameters the minimum cover should be 2 feet (0.6m) in single run applications. Backfill for minimum cover situations shall consist of Class 1 (compacted), Class 2 (minimum 90% SPD) or Class 3 (minimum 95%) material. Maximum fill heights depend on embedment material and compaction level; please refer to Technical Note 2.02. A table is provided for pipe dimensions with nominal diameters for reference.
