The MarMac Polyseal Pipe Coupler offers soil-tight performance for any drainage pipe. Polyseal is a high-strength, reinforced coupler that delivers reliable soil-tight performance. It consists of thick rubberized bonding mastic that provides a tight positive seal around pipes and culverts.
The coupler incorporates a shear and puncture-resistant internal fabric with a chemical-resistant, cross-laminated polyethylene outer cover. Securing straps are engineered within the coupler to perform
as hose clamps, providing a seal against soil infiltration and ensuring that joints stay both soil-tight and flexible. ADS is one of the industry’s oldest suppliers of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) products and accessories, with close to fifty years of experience.
The MarMac Polyseal Pipe Coupler features seals bell-and-spigot & butt joints from 8”-60” (200-1500 mm) diameters and a permanent seal. The coupler works well for both new installations and repairs. It couples dissimilar pipes, materials and corrugations.
The MarMac Polyseal Pipe Coupler is easy to install, offers a permanent seal against soil infiltration, has proven performance and is quick and easy to repair in the field.
This document includes specifications for the Polyseal Pipe Coupler. The MarMac Polyseal Repair Coupler is a connection for 8”-60” (200 to 1500 mm) ADS N-12 pipe. Material properties and performance indicate that all pipe joints shall be sealed with an exterior coupler. The joints’ coupler is the Polyseal Pipe Coupler as manufactured by MarMac or an approved equivalent.
Always install according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. The coupler needs to have an outer layer of cross-laminated polyethylene with an inner layer of rubberized mastic that is reinforced with a woven polypropylene fabric. Make sure there is a protective film against the mastic that is removed when the collar is applied to the joint. Securing straps shall be located within the coupler: straps shall be oriented such that the strap falls at the joint and the remaining straps are on either side of the joint or in between the corrugations.
Follow the installation instructions for the MarMac Polyseal Pipe Coupler as indicated in this document. The installation guidelines include steps and images showing a proper installation.
