This is ADS’ Water Management Drainage Handbook, which details technical information about ADS products and the products’ usage.

Items covered in the Water Management Drainage Handbook include specifications, structures, hydraulics, durability, installation, retention/detention systems, general technical notes, sanitary sewer systems, sanitary technical notes and a summary of standard specifications.

The structures section gives information on the overview of structural considerations, design criteria, thermoplastic pipe design procedure and research and installations.

Information covered in hydraulics is design Manning’s Value, discharge curves, the conveyance method, minimum velocity considerations, maximum velocity considerations, long-term pressure considerations, culvert considerations and example problems.

Durabilty discusses corrosion, erosion and other durability conditions.

Items shown in installation are pre-installation storage and handling, line and grade, trench excavation, backfill envelope construction, joints and other installation considerations.

The retention/detention section consists of subsurface retention/detention products, choosing the correct retention/detention system, designing a retention/detention system, design aids, Best Management Practices (BMP) and gives technical assistance.

General Technical Notes discuss general specifications, structures, durability, installation, retention/detention and miscellaneous information.

The sanitary sewer systems portion includes information on sanitary sewer projects, ADS SaniTite® HP pipe, installation considerations, while the Sanitary Technical Notes discuss structures and installations.

The summary of standard specifications include AASHTO, ASTM, CSA, BNQ, COE, IAPMO and SCS.
