The Nyloplast® Water Control Structure is an innovative stormwater management basin that provides an effective way to manage water levels in a variety of applications with the ability to control level and discharge dynamics and modify them based on conditions.

This is an economically effective way to improve water quality of our valuable receiving streams, rivers and lakes.

Proactive water management is important for many reasons. In agricultural applications, it is critical to keep nutrients in the field before they become pollution in a stream. This Water Control Structure allows overflow for heavy rainfall events, but also restricts water movement during normal conditions to maximize residence time for valuable nutrients so they can stay in the crop zone.

In addition, the structures can be used in a variety of other applications, including general water level management, wetland management, riparian zone control, residential flow control and more.

Features include fabrication with a Nyloplast drainage structure. Stand pipe system is virtually leak resistant. Ductile Iron or locking lid options available. Numerous stub options for different pipe types. Watertight push-on pipe connection available. No corrosion or degradation over time. Easily adjustable, corrosion-resistant stand pipes. Two stand pipes included.

Benefits include controls water level of drainage basin at any level. Allows timely drainage to maximize crop development or wetland control. Improves water quality.

Ideal for wetland conservation applications. Multiple stand pipes allow precise level control at every elevation. Aesthetically pleasing. Allows a controlled release of outlet flow.

Drainage control reduces the annual transport of total nitrogen. Benefits waterfowl breeding habitat by increasing the water depths to create a better cover of vegetation. Reduces nutrient exports and total suspended solids (TSS) in watershed. Does not require boards that are difficult to remove.

Requirements are all basin bodies shall be constructed from PVC. Connection to corrugated pipes shall be made with flexible rubber gasket. Stand pipes shall be constructed of a corrosion-resistant material. Installation shall be in accordance with Nyloplast installation procedures and those issued by local regulations or any other applicable authority. Lift tool included to control low level drainage valve.
