Fox Point turned to ADS drainage solutions products. The village has successfully used ADS products for a long time, so Fox Point knew it could depend on ADS for the right products and on-time service.
Bradley Road stormwater drainage was handled by ditches prior to the road’s reconstruction. By enclosing the ditches it provided for flood mitigation, allowed for road realignment and made the road safer.
In order to capture the stormwater, 50 Nyloplast drain basins were installed along the road. The basins ranged in size from 12” to 36” (300 to 900 mm). Nyloplast basins were chosen because the PVC product offers size-on-side connections, which allows for ease of installation and future maintenance.
To convey the stormwater from the site, N-12 pipe, in diameters from 12”-36” (300-900 mm), was chosen for its upfront and long-term cost efficiency. Over 4,600’ (1,402 m) of N-12 pipe, which is made from high-density polyethylene, was utilized for its long-term performance.
Nyloplast drain basins are custom built for each application. Nyloplast products are more durable and corrosion resistant than precast basins. Nyloplast basins are the latest in stormwater capture technology combining the rugged PVC structure with ductile iron grates. The basins provide a watertight connection and can be easily adjustable in the field to meet the final grade.
N-12 pipe provides a smooth interior wall and corrugated exterior wall to offer exceptional hydraulics and strength. N-12 pipe has an inline bell-and-spigot for easy installation as the pipe can be pushed together. The pipe is available in 4”-60” (100-1500 diameters) and 20’ (6 m) and 13’ (4 m) lengths. N-12 can also be easily field cut for a variety of applications. Therefore, ADS provides a wide variety of fittings, including tees, wyes, elbows, couplers, end caps and reducers.
