Got Rust? StormTech Doesn't.

CMP drainage throughout Texas is being replaced due to excessive material corrosion.

Efficient
Palletization optimizes shipping and on-site staging.
Reduced Costs
Maximize your savings by reducing aggregate needs and using the chamber size that works best for your system footprint.
Easily Maintained
Easily maintained with the pretreatment Isolator Row Plus. CMP requires confined space entry and cleaning of the entire system.

The Difference is Bright Yellow

StormTech Chambers

Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP)

Inert polypropylene plastic material of the chambers is unaffected by typical stormwater run-off and corrosive soil conditions.

CMP is vulnerable to corrosion. If salting agents are used, a plastic liner is required over all pipe sections.

Chambers can be easily transported and stored at the jobsite because they nest together on pallets.

CMP is expensive to transport because they require more truckloads, and the pipes are difficult to store on jobsites.

Offers large, open bottom area which facilitates efficient flow and infiltration of stormwater.

Perforated CMP has minimum overall open areas thus flow rates for infiltration applications are less.

Easy to install!

Requirements differ by pipe chamber, requires two different materials for backfill and haunch support; aggregate is dumped and knifed, then sand is dumped and compacted in small lifts.

Same storage - smaller footprint

CMP row separation is ½ of pipe diameter, up to 36” spacing. This dramatically increases footprint.

Large StormTech MC Chambers are very cost-effective when evaluated on an installed cost per cubic foot.

CMP can be costly based on gauge thickness, coatings and large equipment needed for installation.

StormTech chamber open storage volume per truckload equals 18,900 cf or 105 chambers for the MC-7200 Chamber.

Solid CMP storage volume per truckload of 72” — 2 pieces of 20’ pipe =1,130 cf

Less trucks to ship = less cost + lower carbon footprint.

CMP is very inefficient to ship. This adds cost, increases fuel usage and creates a larger carbon footprint. Large cities are congested and if the construction site waits on product to arrive, the crews are getting paid to idle.

The Isolator Row Plus is a patented maintenance system that protects the chambers from sedimentation, is easy to clean and doesn't require confined space entry.

CMP systems spread sediment throughout the entire system causing difficulty in cleaning and requirement of confined space entry.
